...We continued our journey with Achill Island. The mountains are characterized by their unique locations. They are spread along the coast and stack up to over six hundred metres. With magnificent cliffs, they eventually drop dramatically into the ocean as you can see. Hiking on Achill Island involves negotiating great differences in altitude, breathtaking cliffs and georgous views of land and sea. It's been already 2 months since I went on a road trip through the north-west of Ireland with @robinbraumann. With a rental car and a backpack, we went to the most beautiful camping site near clifden, right by the sea with an amazing sunset. The next day, we went also to the pine islands and hiked up the diamond hill.
